Storyboards

Using a storyboard is useful to know what we are going to do when we actually get round to filming our clip. However the storyboard is rough so it isn't set in stone how long our clips will be our whever we use them at all.

Brainstorming ideas

Our brainstorm will give idea to our group of what we will film and how we will film it.
We planned how we would lay out the shots, the sound and music we will used in our short, what questions it will leave the audience and what feel it will create.

Plot

Our film plot is about a man (Michael's character) who is obsessed with obeying the rules made by God and if people weren't to obey them they will become sinners. For example, no sex before marriage. He believes that if anyone breaks these rules then they deserve to die. He hunts these people down and kills them. In the opening sequence you will see the man (Michael's character) enter a girls house ready to kill her. You will see a lot of extreme close ups that reveal certain hints about the girl (but not giving too much away). The audience will be left asking themselves;
 -Who is this man?
-What does he want with this girl?
-What has the girl done wrong?
-Why are we being shown lots of extreme close ups of house hold objects?

Setting Photos

I think this area would be good to film in as it is by a busy road so it'll constantly have a background noise which would mean that our group won't need to include music also there are long path ways around it so it could possibly build up tension if we film a walking scene.

This area would be good to film in as it is an open area with little houses around so we could create an affect that it is in a different location.

I think this area will be good to film in as it's an ominous place and is busy during the day so it'll create a lively feeling for our introduction.

Questionaires

Each survey was taken from a different gender so we can get a wider perspective on what people will expect from a thriller. Both of the questionaires came from our target audience, 15 -18 year olds, so their opinions will really matter when it comes to thinking up our initial plot idea.

Vox Pops

Our Vox pops were successful as we were able to ask our target audience what they want to see from a thriller film. Each person we asked gave valuable feedback that would help us for when we film our clips and plan what we will film.

Skyfall

Skyfall by BluntToothbrush on GoAnimate

The animation above goes into detail on the introduction of Skyfall.
Skyfall is directed towards a younger audience, of which is our target. Skyfall does this by using things that lots of teens enjoy due to its use of violence throughout.
